The GoPro HERO12 Black is GoPro’s latest flagship action camera, and it is currently on sale for $349 (originally $399.99). The GoPro HERO12 Black Creator Edition is also on sale, for $499 (originally $599.99) after a $100 discount. The Creator Edition comes bundled with some useful accessories that, if purchased separately, would far exceed the $150 price difference compared to the standalone camera. Therefore, if you know you’ll want to get some extra accessories, the bundle may be the way to go.
The GoPro HERO12 Black was released in September 2023 and received an “outstanding” review from PCMag for its pro-level features in a user-friendly camera, and was named Editor’s Choice for the best action camera and the best GoPro on the market. It has an HDR video profile with a 5.3K resolution and an 8:7 aspect sensor, making it great for widescreen and vertical social media video crops. One of the main features missing from the previous GoPro HERO11 Black is the GPS functionality; since not a lot of people were using the feature, eliminating it helped with the battery life.
